Although there are a plethora of clothing stores aimed at Muslim women, Striving For Modesty seeks to be the modest clothing store of your choice.

Our aim is to provide an array of exclusive and luxurious items that are modest and made from great quality fabrics. We uphold the belief that all Muslim women should observe hijab around Non-Mahrams by wearing a Jilbab and Hijab.

We also understand the importance of being comfortable in your jilbab, making our comfortable tunics, skirts and dresses ideal. While we are obligated to cover around Non-Mahrams, we are permitted to uncover around women, there is still a level of modesty required.

For this reason, we carry a small selection aimed for those women-only events.

Yes, Striving For Modesty was created for Muslim women but we seek to clothe all women who desire a modest wardrobe regardless of their faith.

About "Striving Flawlessly" 

Yes you can find a planner or journal in almost every store but how many of them remind you of your faith and your commitment to Allah-SWT?

Striving Flawlessly was born out of a desire by Aminat to have a planner that would not only allowed for scheduling out her day, but one that was also infused with Islam.

After sitting on the idea for years, Aminat worked with a Muslimah graphic designer to bring to life what became the first version of the SF Muslimah Planner. Now, three years later, Striving Flawlessly has evolved into a line of Islam-inspired stationery, aimed at helping you organize your life while prioritizing your deen.

Meet The Founder

Aminat Odunewu-Seese is the founder and owner of Striving For Modesty. Originally from Lagos, Nigeria but raised in Chicago, Aminat noticed how difficult it was to find modest clothes that fitted properly on women who were tall and slim as well as the rarity of finding actual jilbabs in the US. This realization coupled with her natural entrepreneurial spirit is what gave birth to Striving For Modesty. Thankfully, she didn't want to only cater to tall or slim women but women of all body times. This is why SFM carries petite, long and plus sizes. Everyone is served!
